Botswana vacation packages allow you to experience traditional big-game safaris in one of Africa’s most popular destinations. Botswana’s most popular safari attraction is the Okavango Delta, a green jewel that can be found in the Okavango Delta. It is flanked by the Savuti rolling savannah and the Chobe elephant sanctuary.
The Makgadikgadi saltpans, semi-desert grasslands and Kalahari are located south of the delta. Botswana’s wildlife is best explored on horseback, on guided game drives, nature walks and river cruises. Chobe is home Africa’s largest elephant colony, as well as large herds buffalo, zebra, and many other antelope species. Botswana also has lion, leopard and rare wild dogs, as well as hyenas, lions, leopards, hyenas, and hyenas. Bird watching is amazing.
Unique experiences such as quad biking safaris or authentic cultural encounters between African’s first people, San, can be found in the saltpans and Kalahari scrubland to the south of the Delta. Botswana’s green-season migration takes place here between January and March, depending on the season. The desert waterholes are filled with summer rains and thousands of zebras and antelope flock to the area to eat the new, sweet grasses. As the local lion prides take advantage of the visiting herds, this leads to dramatic predator-prey interactions.

Botswana: Where to Go
Botswana offers a wide range of safari options. There are vast wetlands and large rivers that provide habitat for wildlife in the country’s northern forests. The Kalahari, which is surprisingly rewarding, is the best place to visit in Botswana to see game-covered grasslands or sun-baked salt pans. Each destination has its own unique appeal, but it is easy to combine these attractions. Light aircraft charters can take you to each destination, and you can also enjoy bird’s-eye game viewing along the way.
Okavango Delta: The Kalahari’s green oasis
The Okavango Delta is a beautiful, green oasis in the middle the red Kalahari. It forms the centerpiece of all Botswana safaris. It is one of the most beautiful natural destinations in the world. The labyrinthine channels and open floodplains of its Okavango Delta, along with tangled forests, are home to a variety of safari activities, including canoe safaris, nature walks, boat rides, and boat rides. The Okavango Delta is protected in large part by the Moremi Game Reserve. Privately managed conservation concessions manage much of it.
Botswana’s Best Time to Visit
When to visit Botswana depends on what you are looking for. The dry winter months from May to October are the best time for game viewing. As the dry season progresses, animals tend to be more concentrated at water sources. Experts consider the cooler months of June-August to be the best time to go on a Botswana safari. There’s almost no rain, and there is less chance of malaria.
Wildlife tends to be at its peak during the dry September/October months. However, wildlife is more likely to disperse during the wet January to April summer. Many destinations, such as Chobe’s Savute and Kalahari, offer great summer game viewing. They are located on the migration path of zebra and other migrating animals, including zebra. Botswana’s three Kalahari Parks are at their best during early summer. December is especially good because many antelope give birth there, which in turn means that more predators will be found.
Botswana is a year-round birding destination. Bird watchers will still find the migrant-rich summer months of “Green Season”, Botswana’s best time to visit Botswana, for both diversity and numbers of species.
