Culture Of Cinema – Enjoying the movies

Though there are plenty of great activities offered for our leisurely pleasure with this funny little world called Earth, certainly the happiest, most and worthiest fulfilling pursuit someone is able to undertake is gulping down along to the films. Making the decision to go with friends. Deciding to live with loved ones. Having an incredible journey from the protection of any cinema seat, flanked by like-minded fellow travellers.

The best evolution of art, entertainment and science, films combine the very best of books, structure, illustration, music and theatre, building a single, deliciously better encounter which engages the brain, stirs the emotions and feeds the soul.

The real question is – and it’s not much of a tough one: Where’s the ideal area to see a film? Which of the many available formats allow movies to actually be themselves? On your small phones maybe? The rear side of an aircraft seat? Exactly how about at home, by itself? No, no & no. The best place to visit a film – obviously – is in the cinema.

For starters, there are the technical reasons. The display is clearer and bigger at the cinema. The sound is louder and sharper. Folks are definitely more fragrant and attractive. Going to the cinema kills 99.9 % of all known germs and typical attendance will undoubtedly prolong the life of yours, sometimes by decades. The majority of likely.

Rather more abstract will be the feeling you get when you’re going for the cinema. The growing excitement. Then once you get there, the sights, smells, atmosphere.

We adore the ritual of it. From moving through the doors, queuing for the popcorn and soaking up the trailers, to dropping ourselves in a film, surrounded by our mates, before whiling away the remainder of the day debating each and every component of the adventure. It’s not so much an exercise as it’s a way of living.

We love the escape. We like the focus you receive from sitting in a darkened auditorium, before a dazzling shiny display screen, enrobed in swirly, mellifluous soundscapes.

Then there is the nostalgia. The joyful regression. The opportunity, each time we undertake private cinema hire to revisit the childhoods of ours. Though for sure the experience has evolved over the years, in almost all of the ways that matter, it’s hardly changed at all.

What we like best though, we have preserved till last: The collective experience. Films, like daily life, are recommended to be shared. We’re not here alone, people. Experiences are certainly improved when you experience them with fellow’ experiencees’.

When you settle in the deep, surrounded by your friends, and beyond them, relatable strangers, and you all laugh, or gasp, or cry at the exact same time… That’s what the cinema means to us. It means all. It is our favorite place in the planet.
